October is National Co-op Month, and Petit Jean Electric Cooperative is joining cooperatives across the U.S. to celebrate. Co-ops come in all shapes and sizes, but they each have a common goal: to provide goods or services for the members of the co-op.
We are thrilled to announce a significant milestone for Petit Jean Fiber, a leading provider of fiber internet services and a fiber subsidiary of Petit Jean Electric Cooperative. We have reached 3,000 subscribers, marking a remarkable achievement in our journey to bring high-speed connectivity to our members throughout rural Arkansas.
September is National Preparedness Month. According to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), National Preparedness Month is a yearly observance “to raise awareness about the importance of preparing for disasters and emergencies that could happen at any time.”
For many hunters, September is an exciting month, as it means the start of their season with the opening of dove hunting. It’s also a good time to urge hunters to take precautions and be aware of potential electrical hazards while hunting.

Bar MC Ranch, owned by Adam and Darla McJunkins of Dennard, has been named the Van Buren County and North Central District Farm Family of the Year. Adam has worked for Petit Jean Electric for 29 years in various engineering and operations positions.
