Turning of a page … Lonnie Merryman retires
On March 1, family, friends and co-workers of Lonnie Merryman gathered to celebrate his faithful service to Petit Jean Electric Cooperative. Lonnie began working at Petit Jean on June 6, 2006, and retired after 15 years of service.
Lonnie began his career at Petit Jean Electric as a dispatcher but later became our general maintenance man, taking care of our facilities and all of us daily. Lonnie was known in the hallways for always being uplifting and smiling and reminding us that “Every Day is a Great Day at Petit Jean Electric.”
Lonnie plans to spend lots of time camping and fishing. Although we will miss seeing him, we are grateful for his time with us and wish him a long and wonderful retirement.
